The main subject of this paper is the path taken by two movements that apparently support the same economical and environmentalist action but don't mandatorily talk with each other in an intimate way. Our aim is to analyze the relations between Permaculture and Degrowth, while considering both movements going towards post-growth proposals. Another goal is to study where the links are and the divergences, in order to suggest possible ways to unite more effectively their actions and creations. There were six core questions to analyze: What are the most popular political involvement and position? How does it keep its economical viability for actions? What is its general comprehensiveness and popularity in Brazilian contexts? Which abilities emerge among the participants? Which are the key links and divergences that may help a more effective collaboration? And finally, what kind of collaboration could be established, and for which ends?
This media entry was a contribution to the special session „Permaculture and Degrowth: Paths for an effective collaboration“ at the 5th International Degrowth Conference in Budapest in 2016.
