About Shruthi

Shruthi is fond of exploring human connections with the rest of nature, hence she indulges in curating content and facilitating nature-based learning and immersive experiences. She regularly facilitates and engages with children and young individuals from Seem and Biyasi villages, Uttarakhand, and has also lived in the nearby villages for over a year. Her biggest inspiration for documenting Khili Buransh’s story came from observing the close-knit community build a livelihood that’s supportive and empowering the vulnerable sections of society. She feels such initiatives hold potential to change the livelihood and migration scenarios of the Himalayan communities. Prior to this, Shruthi, along with her partner, Paras, has documented a film on the Happy Children’s Library, which also features Khili Buransh.
