The journey to build the Peoples’ Summit Towards COP30 reflects the mobilization of the various social and environmental movements in Brazil.
Since March 2023, organisations have come together to form a unified representation that reflects the country’s rich biomes and diverse voices.
Through meetings in Brasília and at COP28 in Dubai, they have worked to develop a political declaration and a set of guiding principles for the Summit, strengthening our commitment to a climate and social justice agenda that will shape the path toward COP30 in Brazil in 2025.
The time has come for ESEE to take a firmer stand and address the impossibility of tackling the monumental ecological crisis we are facing with partial solutions.
