The journey to build the Peoples’ Summit Towards COP30 reflects the mobilization of the various social and environmental movements in Brazil.
Since March 2023, organisations have come together to form a unified representation that reflects the country’s rich biomes and diverse voices.
Through meetings in Brasília and at COP28 in Dubai, they have worked to develop a political declaration and a set of guiding principles for the Summit, strengthening our commitment to a climate and social justice agenda that will shape the path toward COP30 in Brazil in 2025.
Earlier this month, on June 6th, the 2020 Global Degrowth Day (GDD) was celebrated around the world.
