For this year's festival, alt-shift is getting their hands dirty! Friends and allies from climate and social justice movements are invited to co-create a space where we rehearse the worlds we need, beyond oppressive systems & toward our collective survival. Together, we want to experiment with practices that sustain, challenge and connect us, while navigating the messy waters of relating across difference without falling into in-fighting and fragmentation. We will rehearse community practices and structures that can keep all of us alive - as alternatives to the oppressive systems around us - while diving into the messy waters of relating across our differences without falling into fragmentation.
Join the alt-shift festival in the forests of East Germany for six days of resistance, renewal, and reimagination. In this temporary community, we co-create spaces for critical, embodied, transformative and playful education around post-growth cultures and practices. We’ll not only explore the many dimensions of post-growth but embody them—through collective care, common strategizing, radical solidarity and rest. Expect mind-tickling conversations, hands-on workshops, art, music and performances that inebriate the senses, alongside nourishing food we cook and share together.
