Join us this October as we continue the Beyond Degrowth Series. This series dives into the tensions and potential collaborations between the Degrowth movement and Global South Movements.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, October 10th, because this month, we are excited to host gina cortés valderrama, Co-Facilitator of the UNFCCC Women and Gender Constituency.

As COP29 approaches, our conversation with Gina will focus on the New Collective Quantified Goal on Climate Finance. With wealthy countries continuing to break their climate finance promises, we will discuss how degrowth can amplify calls for greater accountability and climate justice. Tune in as we highlight the Global North-South divide in negotiations and the persistent failure to address imperial power structures. We'll also explore the limits of degrowth and potential pathways for collective action and justice in multilateral spaces.

This series is hosted by the Global South Working Group Circle of the International Degrowth Network (IDN).
