Abstract: If the basic contradiction is in current economic models, what is the right path to solve it and thus avoid the crisis of the environment and of life itself? It is evident that our current lifestyles are part of economic models that are unsustainable. How can we avoid that catastrophic growth? The basis of the proposal presented here is in showing the contradictions of growth to find alternatives that lead to a proposal of degrowth; considering that this contradiction could well be the force that leads to change as it helps us evaluate the processes that shape the internal conditions of transformations leading to different paradigms. The task of this generation, as part of its historical conscience, is seeking that science can provide a basis for this transformation from the dialectics of sustainability, where we require a global values system and to to achieve the process of inner and cultural change.
